General Dentistry Course

Student of clinical course in general dentistry, Dr Roopsi is performing post and core procedure in a patient.





















Today clinical class in endodontics was conducted at Ahead Academy, New Delhi. Today biomechanical preparation of root canals was discussed. The practical aspects and the technique was discussed in great detail. In the previous class, students were taught about canal negotiation and apex locator. Today the students were explained the motions involved during root canal, namely the filing, watch winding, turn and pull. The concept of initial binding file and master apical file was taught. Recapitulation was emphasized during the biomechanical preparation in which a smaller diameter file is intermittently inserted to apical length and small bits of debris at the apex are removed. The step back technique was elaborated for apical preparation. Gates glidden drills were explained for coronal third preparation. The technique was then demonstrated to the students in detail.





















A student of clinical course in Endodontics, Dr. Sriparna is working on a patient and has completed three months certificate course. She is treating a patient who had pulp stones. Pulp stones are nodular, calcified masses in coronal and root portion of pulp organ. They are bone like structures that from in pulp. In this patient, the pulp stone was removed and root canal treatment carried out.





















A student of clinical course in general dentistry, Dr. Aman is performing an endodontic procedure on a patient the patient had severe pain in right upper region, which was relieved by an appropriate treatment.
