Reasons to consider single Tooth Dental Implants

Reasons to consider single Tooth Dental Implants or saving the tooth by single sitting Root Canal Treatment:-

When a tooth’s nerve and pulp becomes infected, a dentist and patient must make a choice of whether to attempt to save the tooth by performing root canal or to extract the tooth and replace by dental implant.

ROOT CANAL

A root canal has long been the treatment of choice for teeth whose pulp is damaged because of caries or trauma. Your doctor will numb your tooth before creating an opening to reach to the pulp. Then, he will clean the root canal with hand or rotary needles and then finally fill your root canal with medicated filling material. In earlier day this procedure require multiple visits to dentist to complete this procedure. Now a days with the advent of new technology like rotary endodontics. This procedure can be completed in a single visit Known as single sitting root canal treatment.

DENTAL IMPLANT

Dental Implants are used to replace missing teeth since the mid- 1960, but in recent years their use has become much more widespread. A dental implant is a titanium screw, which is inserted into a prepared bony socket in the jaw and act as a replacement root for the missing tooth.
After placement of dental implant it is left to heal and make bonding with the adjacent bone which usually take 3 to 6 months. After this time, the implant is stable enough to support false teeth/ crown.
With newer research and technique, now it is possible to place crown on the same day when the dental implant are placed.

WHICH OPTION IS BEST FOR ME

Dental Implants is one of the best recent advances in dentistry, in part because of how successful they are. Once placed they can last for decades. Like other dental procedures. Dental implant also has some drawbacks like it require surgery to place it, a bit expensive and may require multiple appointment for the final prosthesis to be delivered, though this cost can definitely pay off in the long – run.
What about the advantages of having a root canal? The most obvious benefit it that it preserve your natural tooth and do not require surgery. Unfortunately, there’s a chance that the procedure might fail which may require re-root canal treatment or even extraction of the tooth.
Ultimately, the decision to have a root canal treatment verses extracting your tooth and replacing with dental implant should be determined by individual need and preferences.

How To Prepare For BDS 2nd Year ?

Getting admission to good dental schools in India is the dream of many students who have passed their senior secondary board examination. After getting admission to dental college in 1st year they have to study for one year and then they are promoted to second year.

In the second year of B.D.S they have to study following four theory subjects:-

1) General Pathology
2) General Microbiology
3) General & Dental Pharmacology
4) Dental Material

And at the end of BDS second year they have to appear in their university exams and need to write sort and long question and answers in their papers.

For any good preparation a second year BDS student needs:-

1) Good Quality notes

Self-study from standard text books which are reliable. It has been seen that many of the students prefer notes from their senior students who have already passed their examination through studying from good quality notes from standard textbook is required or studying from standard from standard textbooks which is a bit time taking.

2) Expert Faculty

Expert teachers can help the student to understand and learn any topic in a easier & better way. In dental schools it has been seen that students find difficult to understand topics in their theory classes due big strength of nearly too students in a class. In ahead dental academy we provide online live discussion of all second year subject topic wise by expert faculty who can guide students in their theory.
